Brandon Marshall – Biography, Wife (Michi Nogami), Height, Net Worth

Arguably, any NFL football player playing as a linebacker or cornerback can attest to the raw and ruthless force called Brandon Marshall. The wide receiver who has etched his name in the game since his time at the University of Central Florida joined the Seattle Seahawks in May 2018.

Drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2006 NFL Draft, Marshall has one of the best tackle records. Former NFL cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha describes Brandon as a punisher on the gridiron. In December 2009, the Pittsburgh player also set an NFL record for most receptions (21) in a single game.

In 2011, Marshall was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.

Brandon Marshall’s E arly Life

Brandon Tyrone Marshall was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Georgia and raised in Florida. He was born on March 23, 1984 and attended Lake Howell High School in Florida. Marshall was a three-time man of letters on his high school basketball and track team. He put in glorious performances in both sports, winning the All-State basketball title and winning the Class 3A triple jump championship on the track.

Brandon then went to the University of Central Florida where he played wide receiver and improving with each season. In his senior year, he was named to the All-C-USA second team.

College Career – Denver Broncos

The former UCF player was selected by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. However, he suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury during the preseason, which saw him appear in only 15 regular season games.

His second season with the Broncos started again with an injury – a sprained groin and then a quadriceps femur muscle – keeping him out of training camp except for the final days, from May to July.

However, Brandon came back strong and put up effective performances against the likes of the Minnesota Vikings and the San Diego Chargers. He finished the season with 102 interceptions, 1,325 yards and 7 touchdowns, the highest total for his team and a personal career best.

For the following season, Brandon Marshall continued. He had suffered an injury to his right forearm during a family altercation in March 2008. He had to undergo surgery and was out of action until his return to training, end of June. Marshall endured a one-game away spell and a $52,000 fine after being charged with drunk driving and domestic assault in August 2008.

After the suspension, Marshall returned to make his mark on the season, again recording stellar records: 104 steals and 1,265 receptions. He was voted the AFC’s top receiver in the 2009 Pro Bowl.

Brandon went under the knife again in March 2009 to resolve a hip problem that had plagued him throughout the 2008 season. During the season, he had a career-high 200 yards in a single game, a was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week and awarded a pudding for a game against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day.

Broncos after Denver

Marshall was traded to the Miami Dolphins in the 2010 NFL Draft and signed to a four-year, $47.5 million extension in the 2011 NFL Draft. In 2010, his streak of 100 or more receptions ended, though he still had 1,000 receiving yards in his two seasons with the Dolphins.

Brandon Marshall signed for the Chicago Bearsen ahead of the 2012 season and past seasons there. In Chicago, he broke Marcus Robinson’s franchise record for most recorded receiving yards in a single campaign. He also became the first player in Bears history to record a season with 100 or more receptions, and the first in NFL history (along with Andre Johnson and Wes Welker) to record five or more receiving seasons.

He continued his fine form in the 2015 season after putting pen to paper for the New York Jets. Here he became the first NFL player to record a 1,000 yard season with four different teams. The end of the 2015 season also saw him rank 25th on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2016.

Moving from the Mets, he joins the New York Giants in a two-year, $12 million deal. However, he suffered a season-ending injury just a month into his career with the Giants. Unfortunately, he was released by the Giants on April 9, 2018.

On May 29, 2018, he was picked up by the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year, two million dollar deal.

Who is Brandon Marshall’s wife, Michi Nogami?

The Giants wide receiver is involved in one of those relationships that can only be described as live romance. He is married to a woman named Michi Nogami-Campbell. They both attended the University of Central Florida, where they met. Brandon proposed to her on a trip to Hawaii in 2009. They married in July 2010 and in 2015 they welcomed a set of twins.

In March 2009, Brandon was caught for disorderly conduct after being accused of getting into a physical fight with his then-fiancée, Nogami. However, the charges were dropped the next day and he was released on $300 bond.

Two years later, the couple was in the news again after Nogami stabbed him in the stomach and forced him to spend two days in the hospital. Michi Nogami was incarcerated for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She was, however, released on bail of $7,500.
