Caroline Marie "Carrie" Henn (born May 7, 1976) is a former American actress who is best known for her role as Newt, the little girl brought under the protection of Sigourney Weaver's character Ellen Ripley in the film Aliens, the second installment of the Alien series.In 1987, Henn won the Saturn Award for "Best Performance by a Younger Actor/Actress". She was also nominated for the Young Artist Awards that same year. In 2003, Henn was co-nominated for a DVD Exclusive Award for her commentary work on the Alien Quadrilogy box set.Henn's father was a non-commissioned officer of the U.S. Air Force, and his duties led the family to relocate to England in the mid-1980s, where Henn auditioned and got the part of Newt in the feature film. Her family transferred once more to Castle Air Force Base by the time the film premiered.In 1994, Henn graduated from Atwater High School in Atwater, California. She later attended California State University, Stanislaus (CSUS), in Turlock, California, and graduated in 2000 with a BA in liberal studies. In 2005, Carrie married Nathan Kutcher, a classmate of Henn's at CSUS who also graduated in 2000.Henn quit acting after the release of Aliens and is now an elementary school teacher. She has a daughter with Kutcher and now resides in Atwater.On April 26, 2014, on stage in the Stampede Corral at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo, the entire Aliens cast, including Henn, were reunited for the first time since the release of the 1986 film.
